Originally this poster was made as a part of a school asignment. We were given the task to do an illustration with the theme midwinter, the coldest time of the year. My inspiration came from the northern lights which can occur anytime during the year but is often only seen during winter. I wanted to create a contrast between soft and angular shapes as a metaphor for the harsh climate during winter but also the beauty it brings us.
